Centres of Excellence for Forest Schools Training
All Forest Schools Skills, Assistant and Practitioner training courses listed on our diary are run by Qualified and Certified Trainers from Archimedes Centres of Excellence for Forest Schools Training.
This means your trainer will have met the following standards:
- Has successfully undertaken and completed the OCN level 4 Archimedes Forest Schools Trainers Certificate.
- Has successfully completed a minimum of 8 weeks supervised observation and delivery of level 3 Forest Schools training courses around the country.
- Has successfully undertaken a minimum of 6 months mentoring by the Archimedes Training team
- Is accredited to use Archimedes training materials, delivery methodology and ethos
- Has complete a minimum of 16 logged hours of CPD per year.
- Is a qualified level 3 Forest Schools Practitioner.
- Has 250 hours experience of delivering Forest Schools sessions to a variety of client groups
- Has an up to date ITC 16 hour emergency outdoor first aid qualification.
- Holds an appropriate adult education qualification
- Is moderated yearly by OCN accredited personnel during delivery and assessment to ensure the highest standards of training that consistently meet with OCN Assessment Criteria and comply with Archimedes Occupational Standards
- Is committed to quality, integrity and inspirational service, throughout client liaison, service delivery, personal support and after care in line with Archimedes ethos and mission.
