Hi everyone,
Finally registered and its great to read all your messages- gald i'm not the only one who put the portfolio off!!
Mind you its been quite stressful because we've been without the internet since August and have only got it back in the last two weeks- or is that just an excuse?!
I've booked for assessment first week in Feb so look forward to seeing some or all of you there.
Take care
Jayne x

Good to see you on the forum Jayne. I don't feel that I'm ready for the assessment week yet, so I've put it off for a little while. We're still getting things sorted out at our new school site - complete with its own woodland. I think I'll do a bit more of my portfolio and get the paperwork in order before I look at assessment.

 Re: Beaudesert Level 3 6th - 10th July
hey there folks,
it's been ages but I have finally got underway with the blue section of the portfolio - v. dry and academic, am struggling, left it till last, spent the summer doing the practical bits like learning to use a kelly kettle (if in doubt make a cup of tea). Then I kind of put it all on hold for the winter and flew south. However, was inspired to dust it all off and start by seeing Mace on telly with Monty Don - great program and Mace even managed to make it look like he knew what he was talking about - ha! (Seriously though, it was an inspirational prog...)
Struggling as predicted to make the 6 sessions work with older/EBD kids... Any suggestions welcome - can swap for links to current research on self esteem and emo intelligence.
anyone else feel miles away from assessment - does anyone else remember something being said about having to pay extra if it takes more than 9 months to get one booked in? Enough prevarication, back to the dreaded blue section... Hope everyone is well
Jon

Hey Jon, Claire and me are definitely lagging behind! I've finally got some time timetabled(?) to do my practical stuff after Easter and I'm hoping that will get me back in the mood for doing all the paper stuff too. We've still got to do our first aid and everything and now the years nearly gone. Bloody hell! So you're certainly not the only one miles away from assessment.

Hi All, After rather too long a delay, I have finally booked my assessment week - first week in November. Might be a bit cold, but with a couple of fleeces and a pair of long-johns it should be OK! Still want to get further through the portfolio before then and be doing dome more practical things with the kids. Anybody else at this stage? Mark
