What the Level 2 Assistant qualification is
Level 2 is the qualification for the person working alongside a Forest Schools Leader. It gives you the grounding to support sessions confidently and safely: how children learn outdoors, how a Forest Schools programme is structured over time, the practical skills a session depends on, and how to keep a group safe in a woodland setting.
Every level of our pathway contains the content of the levels beneath it, so Level 2 also carries the Level 1 material. You can join the pathway at any point, and Level 2 is a confident first step towards our flagship Level 3 Leader qualification.

What is in the information pack?
Everything you need to decide: what you study, how the online course works, how it is assessed, what the qualification leads to and how it fits the wider pathway. It arrives as soon as you join the list.
Do I need Level 1 first?
No. Each level contains the content of the levels beneath it, so Level 2 includes the Level 1 material. You can join the pathway wherever suits you.
Is joining the list a commitment?
Not at all. You receive the information pack and the launch price, then decide in your own time, or not at all.
How long do I have to complete it?
The course is studied online at your own pace, so you can fit it around your setting and your term.
What comes after Level 2?
Level 3 Leader, our flagship qualification, which qualifies you to plan and lead your own Forest Schools programmes.
